Always an athletic prodigy, Saleh was selected as a standout linebacker and tight end during his high school years at Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, California. He went on to play linebacker at a scholarship at Northern State University, where he earned a degree in business administration.

College Station Days

After graduating college, Robert Saleh embarked on a decade-long stint in the Army, serving as a captain in the United States Army National Guard. Although the exact dates of his enlistment are unknown, Saleh was reportedly honorably discharged in 2003, a feat not unremarkable considering his outspoken views against the exit strategy in Iraq.
